Re: All Thumpers
I got my stepson a thumper the other day. It's a 1987 Honda TRL200. Titled and running for $400.00!
We're doing some work to it, but we'll keep it stock for now.

I rode with a guy that had the same bike. His name is Barney & he lives in P'cola. Here's some pics from that ride.

Edit: I just noticed that you have a KLR. There is a group ride Sunday morning that is going to ride all over DeSoto NF. You should tag along. Here's a link to the info

I have street legal dirtbikes. I can go anywhere that's public land.
For serious trail riding I usually go to Bethel ATV/MC in MS. It's about 45min drive. They have a about 50 miles of one way trail.
The only spot in Mobile county that cops will leave you alone is in Citronelle. It's called Boykin Wildlife Management Area. It's just unmaintained fire roads, but nobody messes with you.
If you have a street legal bike, then you can ride all over Blackwater NF & Eglin AFB. To ride Eglin you have to get a permit from Jackson Guard in Niceville.
I see you live in Irvington. Is the trails out behind the cement plant still patrolled by cops? I used to love riding the single track out there until I got caught.

Uh the cement plant? Are you talking about down in Coden? If so then I've been down that way a few times and didn't have any issues back there

I won't be able to attend that thus weekend I'm in the process of getting a new exhaust the one I have on it now is a quick fix to keep the police for throwing a fit ha. I was rolling down a hill and engine braking when it some how backfired and blew the guts out of my muffler. It was kind of disappointing

Technically, it's between Theodore & Irvinton. If you take exit 13 from I-10, head south about 1/2 mile & it's on the right. The sheriff just gave me a warning, but I will not go back.
Let me know when your ready to ride & I'll show you around.

I figured I'd share my KLR's home to all of you guys! She's been through a lot here. This is in Irvington, AL right by my house if you know where Dixon Elementary is then this is the pit right across the road from it.
Heres just a normal picture of the old gal. It's an '88 and still thumpin'!
